Ohio allows the use of shotgun, longbow, and cross bow during turkey season.

 During a fully-guided hunt, the hunter is accompanied by guide and owner, Jody Gardner, into the pre-scouted area(s) where they get the opportunity to watch how to properly set up and call in a turkey.  If the hunter feels comfortable calling the birds, then that is fine.  But if they don’t, then Jody can take the pressure off by doing the calling himself.   Semi-guided hunters will be taken to the pre-scouted locales and be setup to hunt themselves.   Semi-guided hunters do their own calling.  Come spend time in Ohio’s woodlands hunting the Eastern turkey – the largest game bird in North America.  We are proud to say we use the Double Bull ® 360 Matrix blind.  This enables the hunter to have a clear shot in any direction desired with minimal effort.  Turkeys love to live in forests with oak, beach, ash, hickories and pine trees.  We are privileged to have this preferred habitat. Jody has harvested several of these big game birds himself and works hard to put his hunters in the right place at the right time.

 Spring Turkey Season only goes until noon (12:00) in Ohio.  With the cost of a fully-guided hunt, you can choose to spend your afternoon(s) with Jody fishing at one of the local lakes (crappie, bass, walleye/saugeye) from a fully-rigged 17’ aluminum bass boat (Jody provides bait, tackle, and safety equipment); or he can take you hunting for deer sheds and morel mushrooms.  Of course, you can always choose to sit back in the lodge and watch TV, read a book, play a game, or take a nap if you prefer.  The choice is up to you.
